So I was working on some old #3bl I picked up a month ago and when I flipped them over I found this, a swastika etched into the base of wvery trap, in the same spot on all 10. Was welding base plated on so the got ground off, and s I me were etched in pretty deep. Anyone else ever seen this on any old traps or possibly know some old timer who may have done this??

Just like rainbows before the alphabet group showed up.

Had a very different meaning until some group twisted it and it stuck with the population that it was suddenly bad.

Alphabet rainbow has more colors than the natural rainbow and good luck swastika differs as the "bad" one is typically canted 45deg

Never realized that in all honesty, learn something new every day. These were all on old victor #3s, not sure how old these traps are, but I would imagine plenty past ww2

My guess is someone decided to mark their traps with that symbol.

Pretty sure some Native Americans used it as a good luck symbol...
