20scout trapper Joined: Nov 2017 West Central MN	Doesn't matter. I keep mine in a clear Boston bottle with a hard plastic cap. A metal cap will rust away in a few months as the quill is very costic. Quill will not freeze so you can store it in an out building. I keep mine in an old refrigerator in a shed. Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.
