After doing some research and making phone calls on both sides of the border regarding importing/exporting raw and processed fur, I was told an interesting story. CBP kept it on the down low as it’s not required……lol

There’s no tariff on fur as long as the paperwork is provided. The US customer insisted on doing his own paperwork without a broker. It’s all good, he got his fur, but he forgot to provide a CUSMA Certificate of Origin.
That’s $500 going into US coffers coming out of a citizens pocket that he wasn’t aware of……. That’s how you make money….lol
