Im almost at $200 a month it seems ridiculous I am thinking of looking into other options soon what do you folks pay? You got anything better? My local provider has zero local competition that might be the problem.

Our local coop forces us to have 2 of the 3 services they offer we haven’t had a landline with them for years but to get TV and internet you are required to have both with them not one or the other. Years ago we had a phone company called Quest that did the same thing always jacking up their prices and charging ridiculous fees because they had no competition. Then the current coop offered competitive pricing and Quest was gone as a flood of people were tired of the Quest games and customers bailed on them.

The wife needs a simple or similar format she a dinosaur tech wise a real button pusher to make things work! Clueless but still pushing those buttons hoping for a miracle to happen. I’m no tech genius either but I figure things out.

So without their internet connection I get everything through a satellite then? The local cell tower can barely connect a phone here it’s about as useless as not having a tower. So what’s a typical setup and how will it work?

$50 a month for internet. We use a fire stick with our TV and pay for prime and Netflix. Less than $75 a month total.

Inet and frndly tv. I think that streaming service is about 8/month. Lots of good channels on it-all i watch if i dont have the antenna side of things on. Speaking of that, technology has come a long way-youd be surprised how far some of these amazon antennas can reach

Cut cable TV 8 years ago. I pay $90 for cable internet. I'm hoping that Amazon's satellite internet will be cheaper. If so, bye bye cable. Cable internet is getting as expensive as satellite.

Cable, phone and internet service provider is Comcast $300 month and we don’t use a landline. Looking into canceling cable and live streaming and antenna.

The bitterness of poor quality last a lot longer than the sweetness of low price

Sounds good but I have a hard time trusting Verizon from past experiences.

So if I go with say Verizon or say Starlink the TV and internet are all in one then done deal? I won’t have any connection to my old fiber connection after hooking up with either one of those options is that correct?

My internet is thru T-Mobile 5G for $45 per month (bundled price with cell phone service) I spend around $100 per month for various streaming services to get the programming I am interested in seeing. And nearly all of that either has Virtual DVR or On Demand so I can watch things I want to see on my schedule. I hardly ever watch anything live.

Bundled our 4 cell phones with 5G home wife with T-Mobile about 160/month. If you have decent T-Mobile service near you check that out. If not - I would look heavily at Starlink.
