Ok so i do a lot of pre drilling and counter sinking for my lil projects and been considering getting one of those fancy little pocket screws jigs . They look nice but what's the pros and cons to them ? Most of what i do is on the ground and i just use two a drill with the counter sink then a driver for the screws but these look like you need to mound them in a bunch or something right ?

Love my Kreg pocket jig. Follow directions and use correct screws.

Kreg tool is what I believe you’re talking about their website is needing a certificate, but we use them a lot all of our face frames are put together this way, we also use it on some of the cabinet joints, we used to use it to assemble drawers but with the Cnc machine we now use dovetails, there are several options of ways to use them.

Yeppers the keg is the original but not going to lie was probably gonna go with the vevor . They got a lot of different one though. And you have to use the special pocket screws? Was hoping i could just use regular wood screws of the right length frown

You really need to use their screws, there’s different types for different woods but we use the plywood ones pretty regular, and the screws are pretty reasonable.

Great for cabinetry and some millwork projects. I’ve only used it for interior work and 4/4 material.

I bought the best kreg kit at one of the home store a few years go when planing on making a nice butcher block counter/table for my wife. The counter top is still leaning against the wall, wood in the barn and I have no clue where the kreg jig has gone. I never used it so cant give a review. The last 3 years have been way to much time away from home.

I have been watching some wood working u tub. Trying to get ideas on different methods and tools available i may want/need to do some projects I think i would like to tackle. Im thinking new kitchen cabinets but that may be ambitious. Maybe with spring cleaning my kreg will show up.

Definitely need to use the right screws. Pockets screws rely on having a square pocket bottom and using a square shoulder on the screw much like using a washer on a bolt. The drill bit that comes with the jig will be stepped to cut the square bottom.
That and glue. Use a quality glue.
