We’re taking the dreary month of March and touring the south. Flew to Houston and drove to South Toledo Bend where we’ll be for a week before heading east eventually ending up in Pensacola. Didn’t see Savell as we drove through Coldspring. Beautiful lake ya’ll got here.

go to the north end of toledo bend and fish the sabine river for white bass. Plenty of places to bank fish around Logansport and Joaquin. The spawning run is in full swing. Lots of 2.5 - 3lb fish. Quarter ounce road runner is the best lure. Will also hit crawdad style crankbaits.

Sounds like fun. We have a day of bass fishing booked later this week. Tomorrow is hog hunting. We met a really nice bartender last night that said she’s famous for all the wrong reasons on Lone Star Law. Which reminds me that we better buy some fishing licenses today!

Everyone should fish a white bass run at least once. It can be pretty much non stop action of very nice sized, decent fighting fish. The Ohio runs near me are in May. My buddy Leroy and I used to get our large coolers so full of white bass, we had to sit on them hard to close them.
