Is there any risk associated with getting a b grade fleshing beam?

May need some extra wood filler and or sanding. They'll usually have some knots or checks but totally usable Ive bought some grade b boards and they were fine

Yep, maybe a little wood filler and a little sanding. No big deal. Bought two as presents and one needed filler in a couple very small spots. The other was knotty but smooth.
Ive made both wood and pvc ones. Wood ones took a lot of work and tools. Pvc ones were easier but tough to find large pvc for free. Local municipality road/water departments are a good source. [Linked Image]

Ive thought about making a pvc one and may still do it but if I have to buy the pipe then I wont have much in savings
