I have one and it shoots 55 grain like crap.

What are you shooting in your faster twist 223s to get decent accuracy?

I will say I want to love the 223 due to availability and price of ammo. I have owned 4 and none have impressed me accuracy wise. My 12 twist 700 is ok but nothing to write home about. Maybe because I own a 222 and I have a 22-250 that scary accurate.

My ar is 1 and 9 and before I went to a 4x acog and had a 3x 9 on it I would easily shoot around 1/2 inch groups with 55gr blitz king and 24.? of 8208. It was as accurate as I wanted or need it to be.

Try some all copper bullet if you want to stay at 55gr. They are longer since copper is lighter than lead. Mine shoots 45 and 60gr well also. Maybe try 60 and above and see how that do we s in your 1 in 8.

I have one 8 twist and it likes a a longer bullet. Think stability. work in that direction first.

Got some 75 grain Hornady Match and shot very well in the rifle. It’s a shame the AR crowd ruined the 223 wanting a fast twist…
