that also takes good images. gonna use it to track alligators for our game biologist. we have way too many of these dad gum things and the current system just flat out sucks. If you have a problem gator, you deal with it and just be quiet. that shouldnt be the case. the darn things are everywhere and in numbers. Any tech help on this from experience drone users would be tremendously appreciated.

DGI is a decent product from the chicomms but there are definitely some concerns about them using the info off the app and I don’t think you can get it right now. There are some great US companies just do a web search.

I bet you could use a drone to move a bait around, that was attached to a tree or other secure anchor and draw big gators in, in a hurry.

If you read the directions this one isn't bad. It uses your phone for a display. Learning to use it in flat open farm country was pretty easy. Not sure how grown over and swampy you are talking. It'd be tough for a beginner to navigate down a creek bed or something similar. This one has a home button for you to be like ahhhh yeah just land back here where you took off from. Not sure how that'd work from a boat or something (thats moving around). The pics / video is just on your camera roll or export from the app to your camera roll I guess. I flew it on the first couple of days and haven't really fooled with it since. Just make sure you aren't under anything thinking you are going to stay low and test it. Give it some room.

Last one I bought the kids took off ok climbed and continued to climb tell it was out of sight. Last seen heading east at the speed of the wind that day. It would not respond to commands. Glad it was cheap.

Both boys are certified drone operators after a program at 4H.

Im watching this with intrest I would like to have one i can fly around the farm bonus if its got a nice thermal camera. That would be nice for deer recovery on the off chance one is hard to find

these locations are all oxbow lakes off of the Trinity River and just a few trees around them. pretty open, mostly in cow pastures.
