I tested one today which the TSA website said was acceptable id. Rejected ! The guy said it had to have a yellow star on it like a state issued real id. I told him was a Federal issued id for all that helped. Anybody else get by TSA with one?

Brother , the last ID I was issued through the DEERS system on Ft. Sill. This was in October. It was True ID compliant. The whole thing is weird.

I've never had any luck using mine for verification on anything. I have two of them and they're both at least 5 years old, if not longer. One says choose VA on the front. The other looks more official and is issued by US department of veterans affairs and has member ID and plan ID on the front of it.

Sounds like I need to get an updated version.

Edit. I could probably use it to vote in California.
