A Green Heron showed up on the pond today.

Huge flocks of squawking turns coming through now.

I was just out back and saw a white hen Turkey, got a good video but I cant post pics .

Scarlet Tanager showed up this morning, They usually stick around for a week then disappear.

Barn Swallows showed up this morning.

Swallows are here as well.I have bird houses set up for them.

Hummers and orioles showed up 2 days ago

Had the first grosbeak this weekend.

Put out grape jelly for the orioles, expecting them any day now. Same with the hummingbirds.

Also had a green heron come through. Cool birds.

First hummingbird showed up at the feeder this morning.

I was buzzed by a hummer last evening, so I broke out the feeders. Haven't seen one on the feeders yet, but I'm sure they will find them soon.

Not sure if you can see it, but there is a black capped chickadee in that rustic old birdhouse. I didn't get it cleaned out from last year's wrens and the little buggers hauled every stick out of there before they made their own nest.

What a difference a month makes, actually about two weeks. Gone are everything at the feeder except for the locals and a few migrating Hummers. Its so quiet in the mornings now.

Yesterday the Sandhills showed up, today a Red Winged blackbird.

Sandhills yesterday and saw and heard my first robin this morning.

First robins yesterday. South winds should bring redwings and grackles in this week

The geese will follow the edge of the snow pack, but they'll be here pretty soon

Good to hear, days are getting longer up here.

Heard a bluebird earlier

First killdeer today, always a welcome sight here. Definitely a sign of spring, saw a pair of birds building in a nest box I put up Sunday.

A killdeer nest is across the street from my house. She was setting on it week before last on a night that got down to 35. Will know soon.
