with the prices im seeing at your state auctions im hoping to see prices increase there as well

My lots aren't showing yet. Here we go again with the pre auction "When's my grades gonna show up?"......lol.
Weird thing is I got one physical receipt but on my account it shows 3....... and one extra coon. Never seen that before and it's not that Mary is gone, D'Arcy's taken my fur before. I'm sure it'll make more sense once the grades are up. The last couple weeks of anticipation for the grades to be uploaded are the longest.....lol.
I'll bet things will be going up all around. We'll see how it goes, but right now I'm thinking my coons are probably going to a local private buyer this spring.

Some real optimism on fur market when I attended FHA convention, especially marten,lynx, bobcat (no surprise) but hope broad market follows to some degree.we need core volume species rats, beaver, coyotes and fox to follow. Looks likr wild mink continues to

Who ever said "sell early-sell often" was probably giving good advise this time around. I did not sell early or often......lol

I think skunk prices will be down from June but they won’t totally tank.

Groenwald has been paying decent prices all season. He will most likely want to support the prices he has paid. In my opinion.

I don't expect lots to show up until close to the sale.

They certainly won't pay $80. That was a fluke. Now they got a better handle on what they need. Groeny is still paying very well and he's known for being a skin Flint. But they won't tank. The need is there still

If I had any, I'd be calling our GFW fella Dave Bewick up that's for sure. I'm an FHA guy for the most part, but if I had skunks left, I'd be calling him up. He keeps bugging me "We'll get your fur yet Jake".....lol. My winter coons will be going to a local buddy, everything else.......off to the market.

so i talked to a rep from FHA this past summer and one of the reasons the market went crazy last year was because their was two buyers who needed like 7000 skunks between them and well they just bought everything but still fill their quota but close so the first bunch of skunks might do well

One of the brokers probably won't be driving the price up. End user didn't get what they were expecting. Kinda like when the hatter market exploded. The end user finds out that they can't do much with expensive flat beaver.....lol

Glad I sold at our MTA fur I'll take $43.00 skunks and $46.00 a Oz. Porky hair.
And the check is in the bank
