It seems they only need to mention the possibility of gas prices rising and price goes up overnight before anything's for sure. Be nice if they'd go down that fast.

if they secured the oil from Venezuela they might want to get the ships rolling north to Texas, so gas can be made. freaking went up from 2.29 here to 2.79 in 72 hours. enough of this nonsense. We also need to stop exporting oil and keep it here for domestic gas production. to hec with these other countries. stop standing there with your hand out, we arent your keeper. Pretty sure you generate 100 billion or so from exported oil. So now, when countries buy oil, that is standing there with their hand out? Interesting, I always thought that when I bought something, I was a paying customer. I too, don't like my gas prices jumping each day but understand that the global crude market is pushing that far more than domestic production. This middle eastern conflict ending is the way to getting those prices back down.

Be a good time for higher ethanol blends to be approved. Corn is cheap, ethanol is produced right here in the states, and farmers produce more and more corn every year. Your lawn mower and chainsaw will hate you for this!!!

From what I've seen myself and been told by mechanics. A lot of cars don't get as good of mileage with higher ethanol blends either. Be a good time for higher ethanol blends to be approved. Corn is cheap, ethanol is produced right here in the states, and farmers produce more and more corn every year. Your lawn mower and chainsaw will hate you for this!!! It's crappy fuel for sure. It'll burn in your truck but your mileage will suffer. The upside at least is that it's often cheaper because it's subsidized.
