This is the first mink I’ve done for auction. Does the inspection window look correct? And where I cut the saddle by the arms? Thanks

Pin the hind legs on the same side as the back.
I like to pin the tails short and wide. The darkest fur on mink is the end of the tail so I try to push that darkest fur into the window.
Don't remove anymore sadle on the belly side. Leave some. On maybe 1 or 2 out of a 100 there will be a lot of fat under the sadle. Don't scrape it. Just kinda squeeze it out.

Any other questions just ask.

Other than the hind legs on the back, looks great.

I usually cut a thin piece of leather/fur around the window and do not pin it. It provides a clean inspection window. And as mentioned, pin the back legs on the back side. This give you a very full, dense patch of fur that graders will not just look at but feel with fingers and thumb. And I am one that doesn't go light on 5/8" aluminum pins.

Just doing what I want now.

Everything ack said. The reasoning for this. Is for the inspection window from the underside.
With legs brought to the backside. And the tail pushed up to a triangle. This makes the back of the mink look fuller in fur.
A grader will bend the area of the inspection and blow to look for full prime. Good job overall!!!!!!
