Hello trappers, I’ve got a question. I currently use a 5 gallon bucket with a tool holder in the bucket. It works ok but I always seem to need what’s in the bottom. I try to be as efficient as possible when setting. The more time I save the more sets I can make. The question is what do you guys use? I was looking at a hard bottom cloth type tool bag. I have an FB hammer, sifter (I like the cheap metal one), drill with 2 inch auger, stake driver. Thanks

Back pack but I don’t carry a sifter. I find that dirt sifters don’t work very well for water sets. Maybe someone can recommend one that does. Thanks in advance.

I have a Husky tool bag and a Trapper's Companion...both have floppy handles and that irritates me a little.

If there is a next one it will have rigid handles like this.....

I run a Montana Beaver Bag and then put a cheap Rubbermaid trash can inside it for a liner. I love it. Tall enough for my anchor driver, drill/auger, etc and I can throw in a half dozen traps. Outside pockets for some lure. I leave the trash can in when I set my water line but take it out when I’m checking. The bag hauls two smaller beaver or one blanket pretty well.

Been doing a 5 gal bucket for years with a pocket attachment on the outside.

The HF one looks to have about 10 more pockets than mine.

Same. Mine has a zipper. I added a shoulder strap. They work great and I like the red color.

I’ve been using this one for twenty-some years. Picked it up at a convention from, I want to say, Newt Sterling?

It has lots of pockets inside and out and on the ends and the shoulder strap comes in handy.

Eh...wot?

I use arborist rope bags. I have one for fisher, mink, and canines. Plenty of room, cinch top and outside pockets.

I appreciate the advice. I know it’s all preference. It just seems what I need always grabs the bucket liner or in the bottom. Something’s, that’s just how it is. Thanks again.

I mentioned my Home Depot tool bag above but that is for tools. I generally have my truck or side by side near me so almost everything else is in buckets or totes--fairly organized.

I use what I think is called a bucket boss that ties onto the outside of my 5-gallon bucket. It’s got room for several 1 and 4 oz lure bottles. Bait I carry in a separate bucket cuz I’m forever getting bait on the outside of bait containers.

Now that I snare more, I’m not using the buckets as much.

I have a bucket boss crate organizer

Discontinued so I keep an eye out at garage sales for a spare if I ever need it

I run my traps off of an ATV with a trailer
Wooden box that holds crate on one side and extra traps on the other.
Couple buckets of dry dirt and room left for anything I catch

Lure/urine/bait is in a tote on the front rack.
Don't want any of that getting on traps

Also keep a feed bucket with remake stuff
Probably doesn't matter but I try to keep fresh sets as free of any extra smells as I can
