Sold to groney… I averaged around 6.50 for finished coon and 22 on finished beaver . I was surprised at the 4 bucks I got on rats… I thought 325 was the tops.. 4 mink at 20 bucks.
overall, considering the market overall not as strong as we would like… I was okay with that.
Probably gonna be awhile until we see those 20 dollar coon again.
I wonder how long the beaver market is gonna stay hungry.

It’s not my most productive year,,, but it’s certainly not my worst… 4 years ago I could barely lift my arms and my fingers were so numb I couldn’t feel anything… and it hurt to simply walk… even wearing a neck brace for support.
Was even considering donating my traps and trapping equipment because I thought I was done for.

I don’t care who laughs or calls it coincidence,,, but I firmly believe GOD ALMIGHTY stepped in and blessed me.
He gets the glory… a thousand traps are not any good if you can’t use em.
All too often we take our health for granted.

Did you see anyone selling otter or cats?

GFW paying $4 for rats? I’d take that all day. Not my partner Freezer, but a different trapping bud is going to hit rats hard this spring. I pay close attention to him. He’s my inside man to the market. If he’s targeting something, it has always been wise and paid off to follow suit…..lol

Males? Females? $20 apiece or that was average?

They were all big ol buck mink. Oddly I didn’t catch any females.
One was caught on a pond out in the middle of stand of hardwood timber.
No other creeks or waterways in close proximity.
I set up for coon using blind sets ,,, amazing how far mink will go sometimes looking for hunting spots.

I also sold rats for $4.00 nose count for southern Oregon rats, to our member here Wallfur. A pleasure to deal with and hope to sell to him again next year.

How many rats did he have? And how many $4.00 rats did he have and what was the average. Groney is great at high balling you and then getting it back with lower prices on back end.

Sold to Groeny yesterday averaging 7.48 on coon and ten for coyotes and 15 for 2 late skunks got 12 bucks average for green beavers so I was ok with it now we’ll see how FHA compares
