I am always thankful of modern technology and the skill of a good surgeon and doctor.

On a ride , my friend and I backed into a yellow jackets nest in the ground. We were in some brush off the Natl. Forest road . My friend's draft stepped into the nest. Before we realized, he got a wild eyed expression and stomped HARD with his rear hoof on the ground. That huge Percheron/Quarter cross hoof...crushing that nest to the floor. A cloud of yellow rose up behind us and we took off . We ripped up the road in a roll we went so fast Her horse got stung again as he launched out for more speed. He began to buck high and wide, lol My friend stayed on.

We finally outran them . We dismounted and we checked them for stings. Only her draft got stung a couple times on his rear leg .

" He will be ok, " she said, " its a far ways from his heart."

You'll be good, Hoss. Whatever your update is, you will have good encouragement and outcome, no matter what. Please keep us posted.
