Not some AI made up bla blah blah. I saw Stallone talking about his new movie.. it’s gonna be an origins story of Rambo. He’s going to be the executive producer.
Hopefully it’s gonna have the same atmosphere as “ first blood “ which was, in my opinion,, the best one. Part two wasn’t too bad I guess,,,, but then it just went downhill after that… I don’t know who will play the part of Rambo… A.I. stallone?? That stuff is neat, but scary at the same time.

Sly is really crushing it as a senior citizen, kudos to him. I have always enjoyed what he is involved in.

Remember those rambo knives you couldn't give away... LOL I had a camo one. My dad got it for me from my uncle, who had a buddy he worked with at the GM plant who had cases of em. Broke the compass and all the water was gone, lost the sharpening stone on about day 2. Burnt up the 3 matches and tried to fish with the 6' of trilene and hook. Good steel, easy to put an edge on Good times.

Yup, the good ol survival knife,,, I had a few of them,,, the suckers did feel good in your hands though. My cousin broke the handle off one I had,, he was chopping on some maple trees,,, he tried to hide it because he was scared my mom was going to switch his rear end pretty good.

Hey, Rambo is my hero. Who else could get a helicopter to retreat by throwing a rock at it? One more aint near enough.
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

My friend and partner for my security business, Chip, got in trouble with a Rambo Survival knife when he was a kid. After "Rambo", the movie "Uncommon Valor" was made. In it, one of the characters strings Viet Kong ears up as trophies of combat. My friend got the idea to do that with rat heads from rats he "rat sniped" in his mom's horse barns and with frogs he "frog sniped" in their pond. He made several necklaces and hung them in a tree down by the road. One of his neighbors saw the rat and frog necklaces, dangling from a trees and called the Sheriff's department on him. Not a whole lot came from it, except his knife got taken away temporarily.
He got the knife back and was playing near a creek with his younger brother, Bill, and a friend, who also had a Rambo knife. His little brother didn't have one and wanted one to cut something up. His friend said "Here Bill catch" and threw his knife across the creek, where it went through Bill's hand. Bill needed several surgeries to fix his hand.
Afterwards, Chip's dad smashed both Rambo knives with a sledge hammer, breaking the compasses and crushing the hollow handles, before throwing them away.

Keith, fun stories . Your story reminded me of a decent knife I used to carry in my truck. It wasn't a Rambo replica but impressive nonetheless. Recall Croc Dundee's expression..." That's not a knoife.....THIS is a knoife !" That's basically what I had. I used it for a number of things. Including cutting through a horse's halter that the buckles had rusted together in freeing him from being snagged in a tree branch . I kept it very sharp. I was on a day out with some lady friends and were stopped at a light in town. I fumbled with a plastic wrapped snack , and being impatient, grabbed my knife and cut the tight plastic wrapper. Hearing a gasp, I realized all happy talking had ceased , and all the women in back and front, were staring at my knife wide-eyed, LOL. I laughed but looked at the car next to me and they too were staring at me with a look of horror ... " HEY ! Isn't this Idaho ? What's the problem ?" A hardy friend , who was a horseman herself, responded in a wise crack that had us relax in laughter. " They must be city Idahoans !" I didn't even think about that, a knife was common use of a tool , to me. Maybe I can find a Rambo knife someday. Sorry, Foxkidd, I was inspired by Keith's story !
