So, use these lil kydex cheek risers on most of my rifles ( I got a small face and I'd be stuck with a chin weld instead of a cheek weld with 70% of un modded rifles) just because there only $20 and look way better then most of those DIY deals with foam duct tape or vet wrap. Also easily adjustable . But always wondered why i never saw them used on A2 AR stocks . Saw lots of DIY deals with the tape and the like but never one of these. Well after doing a stock replacement today Fixed A2 to collapsible m4 style ,was looking at the old stock , a old poly lower i had and a spare cheek rest and decided to try it. Had to modify the rest a little by extending the channels , all all that was was just drilling a hole and doing a little trimming with a pocket knife . This, just let's you getting a little more height adjustment while keep the bolts for the rest under the buffer tube . Also forgot about the charging handle on the first holes so had to move it back BUT IT WORKS ! not as sexy as my luth MBA 3's or the mag pull PRS's but for $20 and less then 5min

Looks good, keep doing this and leave that poor 30-30 alone
