How's it work? I have a Polaris 325 Magnum that barely runs up about 8000 ft elevation. I've heard about having to change jets or adjust the mixture for higher elevation. What do I need to do?

You would need to go to smaller size jets. The air is less dense so you need to back off the amount of gas in the mixture.

Im thinking I can get by with adjusting the air/fuel mix screw.

I have take a Polaris 350L 2 stroke, a 400L 2 stroke. And Polaris 425 magnum into the mountains of Colorado and over the top of the Devide many times with no problems. Are you sure it's the carburetor or are you running ethanol fuel? I always ran premium 91 percent octane. And never a problem.
