Nice, yeah, it's crazy how fast the season went. Only got til the 22nd for mink & muskrat and I think the 31st for beaver & otter, hoping to get out and get an otter or two before it ends

Well, guys, figured I'd try to help the thread out. My season is done (selling furs tomorrow), and it was a pretty good season. This was my third season trapping. I'm 16. I trapped this year all within 5 miles of my house, running a four-wheeler. I caught 101 raccoons, 30 possums, 14 muskrats, 12 beaver, 5 coyotes, 3 skunks, and my first mink. To put this in context, in 2024, I caught 4 coons, 4 possums, and 1 coyote.
I found out that there really are no secret formulas for trapping. I put in the work for a 100 coon season. I also had school and work, so an hour and a half line after school was all I could do. I never had out more than 4 dozen DP's for coon. I just had to keep trapping. Next year, I'll be able to run from a truck, hopefully.
Anyway, I'll try to post some pictures from my season later.

Now I'm going to ask you guys: Any ideas for goals for next year?
I'll be able to run from a truck. I won't have school, but I will be working full time 10-6.

Yo!! Welcome to the forum!! Dang you caught a bunch of critters! Nice job! I hope you get top prices today on your furs. My goals for next year is to catch more lol. I'm hopefully going to be running from a truck next year, too. This year I was planning on running mine off my ATV, and snowshoes when the snow got deep, but my ATV was broke so I couldn't use it. Hopefully I'll have a full time job by next season too
