$332k????????? Geez......

The devil's greatest trick isn't making us think he doesn't exist. It's flattering us. So we don't see..... the devil is us.

So much for the notion that ''no cat is worth 3k''.

I wonder how many cats are used to make that coat? Size small of course!

Amazes me that a coat can be worth near as much as a newly built home or an excavator. Even if I was filthy rich I would not spend that much on a coat for the wife. Surely puts things in perspective on the rich vs the poor.

Lots of fake cat belly coats in the streets here this season, but they are very realistic-looking (but still plastic and only good for a season or two). Mostly worn by young girls (I live in a campus town, they're mostly university students). The right kind of "gateway drug" garment for the right demographic. I think I saw a couple of smaller items made of real bobcat bellies, too (a hat and a cream white mink coat collar), also worn by young girls.

Ruspushnina account posted some pictures today from a big fur expo in Hong Kong.
Lots of sable and some bobcat belly coats, too.
Some unusual models with sable, too, coats made of synthetics with sable hoods/trim. Good trend.

I tried to explain this very thing on another thread when there were doubters regarding cat prices and bidding just for ego. I have seen the garment prices with my own 2 eyes, and they sell! While it might only be the top .5% buying those items, .5% is still a large number.

Just doing what I want now.

Tatiana, if oil hits $150 a barrel and many of the sanctions are lifted so that Russia can supply energy to the world I can imagine that there will be many extra billions of dollars for those in Russia that benefit from oil wealth to buy thousands of nice fur coats.

Hard to say. Those oil people are reptiloids and all their kids and grandkids have passports with one-headed eagles or white crosses and I doubt that a sable coat, or ten, or fifty, would put a significant dent in their pocket money. I don't think they are the main buyers though.

I was under the impression that a LARGE proportion of all these premium-segment coats are meant to be a part of the working uniform of premium... um... hospitality workers, especially in the Middle East and Dubai in particular. With that in mind, scenarios get nonlinear in the current turbulent situation. However, I am but a dumpster-diving hundredaire and have no expertise in the desires and vogues of the beau monde.
