I'm wondering----- if we have so much oil we are mining right here in the US. Why don't we use that to keep our prices down?

I think some of it is just an excuse to rip us off

War in Iran is just an excuse for gas stations and oil companies to price gouge .They never let a crisis go to waste.

One reason is that a lot of the oil we produce can't be economically refined in our refineries. It isn't the type that most of our refineries were designed to utilize

It was announced a few days ago a new refinery will built in Texas.....what say you ?

In 2015 U.S. oil producers were allowed to sell oil on the world market. The world sets the price of crude.

Looks like the new refinery will be complete in 3 years

all for it. Unfortunately it is likely to take 5 years to get it built

5 is Probably more realistic

… yes Antigov it would likely help my line of work… but so does high oil prices… but it’s not about my well being… I’m far more concerned about the well being and sovereignty of my country and the people that built it … rather than those that exploit it
