A broken one and I believe the big piece was a scraper of some type judging from the working on one edge and I believe the small one is a Madison which would be the first of those I’ve found. Says they were made by the kaskaskia tribe which was located in this area of Illinois. Seems Aweful small to me but is clearly worked on the edges.

The white point isn't a Madison, but it is similar. A Madison's base curves slightly up. They are mostly found in the South East US. You're going to have a very enviable collection soon.

Thanks Keith. I have never found a triangle point at any of my locations. This summer if time allows I want to investigate the river banks some. Rock river is a mile from me and the Mississippi about 15 minutes. Between those two I hope to find something to keep me busy till the crops come out.

All this came from a spot I looked over pretty good last weekend. Sandy area and no rain through the week but had some strong winds so that helps.

I'm seeing a lot of flake tools and scrapers in that assortment. Not everything is a projectile. Lots of these flakes are woodworking tools.

I wonder how often indians found old arrow head that they then reused?

I bet It happened a lot, just like how some guys now will pick up other guys shotgun shells and reload them. I used to take shells in good shape I found hunting and that I picked up at the public range and give them to a buddy who reloaded them for us to shoot skeet with.

White one looks to be a bird point. Points this size are true arrowheads shot by a bow/arrow. Thanks for sharing.

It was a surprise to me because the location I found it at is one of my best spots and everything I’ve found there is much older than this. I’m sure there may be more and they are so small I could see them getting passed by but I pick up all the debitage and bring it home with me.
