I have spent some time the last couple weeks photographing waterfowl over decoys. Decoys get the birds were I want them and many times in the landing poses that I like to photograph in. I put out a variety of different species trying to attract certain ducks with the goal of photographing each species over its respective decoy. Never seems to go as planned and more often than not I get mixed species photos.
They just don’t seem to read the script well before coming in.

I've seen lots of guys who are good at this, but you are incredible. Not to mention the time and effort it takes to hide and sit waiting for them. This must be the best time of year for the plumage too.
