I remember you talking a lot of high praises about it ! Kinda why I been half way looking that them grin there's a few more up for sale if you got the cash but eek seems to be new barrel up on ole Evey every two week or so for contenders . The greybeards classifieds or 24hr campfire probably has co cheaper but you gonna drop like $250 on average. Mine was like $195 shipped . Suprised no one else placed any bids

I've had both the 30 Herrera and the 357 Herrett.
Wish I would have kept them both.
Great for deer and just flat fun to shoot.
Not to mention easy to load for.

It was difficult to fine tune the reloading process for good case life

I'm sure you know this but in the case

It's based on a rimmed 30 30 case bit it headspaces on the shoulder

Takes some time to get the dies set rite, you will fail in the beginning

Don't let 3 or 4 shots and you have a split case mess with your head

It takes time.....have fun, it's one heck of a cartridge

30-30 win. And I think there two different Herrets the original which I have and the newer Herrett AR , that's the one that uses 6.8 brass due to the whole deal of AR's not being able to use rimmed cases

Every now and then wolfie you make me a little jealous. This is one of those times. Great pistol and a cartridge I always thought would be fun to have. Cast bullets make sense in that chambering. Never shot wild pigs but have always thought a semi would shine for thinning them out. Now deer hunting or antelope, well if it were my gun it would get tested on them come winter.

How heavy are those cast bullets?
I always wanted to load some up for subsonic use and see how quiet I can get them.
