Today is the first day weve sold along the road. I had right at 200 dozen give or take a feq and ive sold about half of em in about an hour.

People are thrilled we got em and cant believe we have em so early.

Its great to set the market again this year.

Jerrys digging now.

He usually digs and i sort, bag and market em.

It works for us.

My biggest sale.today so far has been for 80.00.

I LOVE working for ourselves.

This year when ramp season emds im goung straight into selling peaches, then produe, and then apples.

I think i can develop it as to where ill have something going 8 or 9 months.

Itd be great if we could develop enough markeets that jerry could quit work and we could do this then in the winter he could just trap all he wanted aand our hustles woyld pay the bills and then some.

I do the selling but jerry is better handling the money( i have a chicken issue).lol

So hopefully we can make a go of it longterm.

Chicken addiction and expansion is real. It's gotten out of hand for us before. Just guessing have not counted them in a long time but probably under 30 now. Honestly 10 or 12 would be enough for the family. Has been over 200 including meat birds & growing out replacement chicks.

Chickens have the highest demand of the year from now until around the third week in May. Around here they are mostly $25.00 plus, most being plus.

I just sold 2 hens for 75 a couple weeks ago. Im getting between 35 for barnyard mixes and 60 for copper marans and colored egg layers.

I wouldnt pay that but ill dern sure sell em for that.

Its cause im a good BSer. Jerry does better behind the scenes..he doesnt really like dealing with people.so we make a good team.

He couldnt do it without me and i couldnt do it without him.

By the end of 6 weeks going hard were both kinda bitchy.lol

Between your selling produce and Jerry's income from trapping you folks must be in a pretty high tax bracket.

Good job on the ramps, here a dog got into some laying hens and the insurance company valued them at least at 25 dollars.
