I’m putting money on a lot of fur going up, maybe not coyotes….lol.

Going to check traps tomorrow. Hopefully have some.

How do prices generally do in the June auction? Never sold in that one before.

Depends on first sale and sold percentages. I have gotten more in the second sale and have also gotten much less. Usually, first sale gets best prices as buyers bid to fill orders. If there was a smallish offering, second sale can be as good as first, but at least for me, the first sale was when I tried to get everything I had in the mail.

Like AV said, I try to get everything I can in the first sale. As an example, last year my marten on March sale avg was $94, June sale avg was $84.

Depends on what the end user is looking for too. There’s a lot of good beaver in the 2nd auction, but generally the first has the most buyers and is the better one.

Buyers for different items tend to know which sales are best for which animals, so as a general rule that is where that species will go highest (but not always). The June sale is known as a cat sale, and beaver to a lesser extent, marten and canines usually better on the March sale.
