I made two orders from hunting dog supply companies back on March 12. One from Lion Country Supply who shipped via UPS. That order arrived in three days.
The other order was from Gun Dog Supply. They sent it through the USPS. It went through various regional postal facilities from Masiston Missouri to Baton Rouge Louisiana to Saint Rose Louisiana to Warrendale Pennsylvania to Lehigh Valley Pennsyvania which is only forty minutes from me.
Great I thought, it will be here tomorrow. Nope, they sent it from the Lehigh Valley all the way out to Columbus Ohio twelve hours away. Then on to Groveport Ohio where it is currently "moving through the netwoork."
No expected day of arrival has been posted in the six days since it left Gun Dog Supply's warehouse so I have no idea when it might show up.
It was forty minutes away...SMH

I just had a conversation with someone at Gun Dog Supply. They told me they have an "Anything But Postal" shipping option. I told them I wished I'd known about it because I certainly would have chosen it. This isn't the first time the USPS has shipped packages to me via the most indirect routes imaginable.
They are going to call USPS and try to find out what is going on. They also offered to reship the order. I declined for now.
I told them I would continue to buy their product because hey are top notch.
From now on I will be choosing the "Anything But Postal" shipping option.

USPS, complete joke, said this morning on the NBC network, USPS, supposedly to run out of money next year. Ordered a part I needed seller, only usues USPS, couldn't fimd anywhere.Ordered it, 2 weeks ago, got within 50 miles, USPS, sent back to ST Louis, last tracking I got was in NJ, going back to somewhere, same loacation last 6 days. My local postmaster, told me yesterday It's in a no person, warehouse, only automated bouncing back, and back. She's trying to get someone, to locate it. Have quit buying from venders, that don't have options, for shipping. UPS, FeDEx, cost more but I get packages in 3 days, USPS, 1 800 number, you might as well call Russia and ask Putin over for lunch

My wife ordered two king-size bedspreads for our new ( to us ) camp trailer . One from Amazon, it came in 3 days
One from chinamart . It took two weeks .
I live on a dead in road , and a driveway about 500 ft long . I came home yesterday and up by the house was a beat up mini van , one side window was made of cardboard . I boxed him in for a minute thinking wt ....frejoles....is going on here ? ....the dude had long hair and a full set of gold teeth . His wife got outta the car and pushed it backwards about 30 ft . I got out of my truck to confront him and he says " I got no re- burse " .....about that time the wife comes outta the house and says they delivered a bedspread ..... wth
Is this how they give there customers free shipping ?

Ask Keith about some plants I sent him...LOL, Dormant when I sent them, after they came back TWICE to my post office from Ohio they had grown about 6" inside the box.
The issue is the USPS scanners are reading return addresses rather than recipient addresses and sending stuff back. Leastways that's what my postmaster says.
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

USPS should have sadly been dissolved years ago. All post offices could have just been sold to Dollar General. Saw a Facebook post the other day of a lady that lived 60 miles from a location where 3 exact same envelopes were mailed to her on the same day. One got there in 7 days the last one got there in 20 days, (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman). I had a package get from Utah to KC in 2 days, then sat in KC for 7 days before they delivered it the last 60 miles. (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman)
I have a old box Post Marked in 1961 that my Great Grandpa received some reloading components in from a store in KC to his little town 7 hours away. Got there in 2 days according to the notes on the box. His name and the town he lived in was the only address needed at that time.

Mailed taxes out to the accountant by cert. mail, she's 40 miles away on a rural farmstead. Asked Christine if the accountant had gotten the taxes ... Went and checked USPS Tracking this past evening ... From the USPS Yup should be delivered in 47 minutes (160 miles and 2 more enroute postal centers to go. Perhaps AI could help them out???

According to USPS Tracking my package has been "Moving Through Network Processing at USPS Facility" in Groveport Ohio for the last 36+ hours.
Doesn't seem to me like that is any movement at all. SMH

Travel like this is one reason why the post office says it will be broke by 2027. But then again DOGE was going to fix the redundancies in the federal govt. and maybe this is why the mail is ,?!’f|~#%€ backwards.

But my postmaster blocked out my return address Keith....at least that's what he told me. Carl, I just checked. Your return address is on the box still, but he did block out your zip code and made a line on each side of the barcode. I'll PM you a pic. Keith

I hope that's not what he's saying because that would just be silly. This has been an issue with the USPS since long before anyone ever heard of DOGE.

This seems to be a regional issue, everybody back east hates USPS and likes FedEx. While out west it is reversed, if I see a seller ships FedEx, I will look for another seller that uses either UPS or USPS. UPS seems to be generally the same across the country, and while more expensive are usually fairly reliable (except for when our local driver was put on administrative leave a couple years ago, the replacements were horrible and they finally forgave him his faux pas and let him come back to work). No, I'm east of the river and absolutely prefer USPS to Fedex. UPS beats both hands down here. Fedex will literally mark a package as being delivered and NOT deliver it. Probably 7/10 times a package is shipped to me via FEDEX I have to call and usually have to end up escalating things to a manager in order to get my package. Completely ridiculous. I WILL say though in the past 6 months or so I've not had problems with the couple packages that came via FEDEX so maybe things are improving??

Dont even bother trying an insurance claim. This is the 3rd-4th one in 6 years that they flat out wont pay out on. I quit making claims from here on out-they can shove my money. I did everything they asked but showed them the box, thats impossible, the other guy has it. You would think they would throw you one every once in a while, but no, their greed is through the roof. It isnt like Im a liability, I ship 3-10 packages a week through them. Now I expect them to raise rates yet again over this oil compromise going on. Oh and I make it right with my customer within a day, you know, for the damage they did that I paid good money for.

Between USPS, UPS and FedEx, quality of service has really varied here. We put up with the worst mail carrier for years and no amount of complaining mattered. We would all get the wrong mail and drive around re-delivering the mail to the correct addresses. All decent people in the country. After that mail carrier retired, we now have the best mail carrier in history! He knows we cannot see the mailbox from our house in the woods, so he drives up and delivers all of our mail inside our screened porch every day - and waves "Hello" as he sets it down!
UPS has varied too. We have a great driver now who puts packages inside our screened porch out of the weather. Deliveries get here really fast too! We used to have a driver who threw packages in the snow alongside the driveway. UPS has now made it impossible to call the local office here directly, so if we have a good driver, we're in luck. If we have a bad driver, it's tough to correct it. They have a new union rule that it is up to a driver if he/she wants to reach inside a door to make a delivery. Right now, we have a great driver!!!
FedEx is entirely different. The thing to know about FedEx is that they are a franchise operation, so each franchise is owned and run by someone different. You may have a wonderful, well-run franchise in your area. We, however, do not. We have a pack of illegal aliens who do not speak English, driving for an owner from India - who is living in India - and trying to run his business from there! One of his drivers smashed the corner of our garage roof last fall and left without saying anything. We had him on multiple cameras here, and filed a report with the sheriff's dept. The deputy who came over told me that his wife was on a nearby highway a few days earlier and this driver stopped his FedEx truck in the middle of the highway, then threw his truck in reverse and smashed the car behind him! Then the same driver came back to our house to deliver another package the next day! We communicated with him through a translation app on his cell phone. He said he saw all of the cameras on him and figured they would catch up with him. He was supposed to report the accident the minute he got back to their distribution center, but he didn't. His truck was scratched and dented from every angle! After numerous attempts, we finally got through to FedEx and they started their claims process on their end. FedEx sent out an appraiser and, in the end, they sent a check to replace one side of the garage roof. The company that handles their claims says they just pay them out and check them off as quickly as possible. What a way to run a business!
I wish you all had the USPS mail carrier we have - but not ours!!! We'll keep him!!!!!
