What does the letter following the grade and color mean ? Such as A, C, C-D. Is it clarity and if so can someone explain how to determine clarity ?

Not sure how to post PDFs so here's a snagit of it..... This one was hard to find. I think it's from one of their old fur publications. I can take a pic of the clarity explanation from the bible when I get home.

They do the same thing as NAFA used to do, have a list of abbreviations (NAFA used to send it in the envelope with your check and fur sheet) and then use a whole nuther set of abbreviations for most animals that either are not on the sheet, or mean something different than what is on the sheet.

I understand all the grade terminology . It’s the color letters . From the chart letters ABCD are about color according to chart they have nothing to do about quality. The chart says A is dark. Select LT BRN A doesn’t make sense. It’s light brown dark ?

The letters indicate clarity (a type of colour) when pelt colour is already iidicated
A-clear
B-slightly off
C-off
D-badly off/stained.
you see it used a lot in the grading of cat bellies but it pertains to other species also, not just the bellies.
Grading terminology is covered in your fur bible (wfmc) for every species.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
