Your body needs protein. That's something you can't get eating all plants. Besides, the chemicals they have to use to get plants to taste like real meat can't be good for you. They never mention the chemicals they use.

When you're 20 and drop something you pick it up. When you're 80 you decide you don't need it anymore.

A coworker tried it for about a year. His health slowly declined, low energy, sick more often. He was eating meat in short order.

I know a family who's teenage daughter decided it was cruel to eat meat. So she became a vegetarian. When she moved out of the house and had to buy her own groceries she found out how expensive it was to eat a properly balanced vegetarian diet. She was enthusiastically eating meat again within a month. I guess she didn't feel bad enough for the animals to sacrifice her own money.

A lady I used to see at the health club I used to belonged to was a strict plant eater. One day I stopped seeing her there. I later found out she had more maladies that were sapping her strength. So, she quit coming to the health club, as it was taking too much out of her.

Tofu is a source of protein from plants. I prefer animals.

I was forced to eat at a vegan restaurant once. I choked down the vegan lasagna with something like fake meat. As I was walking to my pickup after lunch, I threw up in the parking lot.

I guess if you just want to eat only fruits and vegetables, whatever. But making vegan foods that pretend to be normal is gross. Trust me.

I have a very good friend who has been a vegetarian most of the time I’ve known her (30+ years). It’s different than veganism. Anyway, she doesn’t approve of my trapping, fishing, consumptive lifestyle but I don’t talk about it and she’s fine with that. Lovely lady. I’m glad we found a way to craft our friendship around the elephant in the room.

You can be healthy with a vegan diet. Rice and beans provides a complete amino acid (protein) balance. Certain B vitamins can be had with fermented veggies, etc etc....That said, we humans are natural omnivores and our ancestors ate both meat and veggies. Certainly the easiest way to be sure of complete nutritional balance.

Every vegan and vegetarian I"ve been around produced a near constant stream of flatulence. It's disgusting.

It's all in the eyes!! Animals physically designed by their Creator to eat plants have eyes on the side/top of their heads. Animals designed to eat meat have eyes that face forward. Don't mess with the Creator.
On a funny note, I have a friend who is a part-time paid pall bearer for a funeral home. He jokes he likes carrying vegans, they are lighter.

Vegans avoid all animal products, including meat, dairy, eggs, and honey, opting for a completely plant-based diet.

Vegetarians do not eat animal flesh (meat, poultry, or fish) but may consume dairy products, eggs, and honey.

Vegans are a bit more hard core i guess.
Keiths right about the gas, it's friggin terrible. If a guy could harness it somehow it may be beneficial as an alternate source for acetylene.

The few Vegans I have known took it even further. No leather, no fur, no wool. No animal products in their life at all. They never seemed very happy.
