Do either eat Fish or is that against their religion too?

I don’t think so.

People that are otherwise vegetarian, but eat fish are called pescatarians. They are fairly common.

I work with a vegetarian but she will still eat fish n shrimp. I guess they aren’t cute enough to worry about murdering them…

It’s kind of a flawed, in my opinion, belief system. My vegetarian friend doesn’t eat meat. Her mom and brother give me grief once in a while when I ask about the Buddhist beliefs about killing things. They say they didn’t kill the chicken or fish so they’re within the rules of Buddhism. All of them wear leather. My friend wears her down filled coat when the temperatures are at extremes. Silk clothing is worn, too. Apparently caterpillars don’t count as being alive.

But it’s their belief. I get that. For the most part, we avoid the subject of who does what and get along fine.
