Good job guys you are showing why we should use Belisle.
That’s for sure! One was a toe catch……crazy. In the runs I slid the trigger way over shooting for a deeper catch so the 2nd trap had a chance to stay set. I think for the baited sets away from runs I’ll slide it right over top of the bait on the jaw. Oh yea, safeties…….gotta remove the safeties…lol.

I extended 4 stands to about 6’ just for ice beaver and particularly this spot. The last set I think I finally hit bottom with the top of the stand a good 1.5’ under water. We knew it was really deep at this spot.

Also who is the lucky guy that drives the snow machine? Them short seats can be “ cozy “……
Haha, we each got our own. I once garbled a sentence of gibberish to a Newfie who was working at the dump up in Thompson, and he replied! We held a conversation for a few minutes of complete gibberish. As we drove off, me and my coworker were in shambles laughing…..lol

no wonder Duke jumped when the Patent was not re-newed on the Belisle. Great job there Shakey to give up your time from watching the auction and taking one more clip Live from above the 49th

Sometimes it felt like it was taking forever! Freezer fell asleep Thursday. Asked what he got for his squirrels he shot with the 22. “A buck” “Oh, that’s not bad….. 5 bucks” “No, a buck for all 5”………lol. No more harvesting squirrels with the 22.

It’s not his eyes or steadiness. Firearms care is not his forte…….lol.

Yep good interesting video. Can you show us a photo of the frame with both traps on it. We are only allowed 2 330s so that is not much value to us in most of Pa.......jk

I don’t think the weld letting go had anything to do with the steel………lol.
I’m gonna get Becca to reweld mine up a bit…….but I’ll tell ya, a good welder and quality helmet can make a dummy look pretty good! A regular tall H stand should work just fine, it’s all we’ve used until this year. This particular spot we knew was very deep at the lodge so I made these up. The extended stands were nice for winter beaver even in the shallower spots too. The previous years, all our double catches were off regular tall stands, but sometimes the stand wasn’t even touching the bottom because of ice/snow thickness and I absolutely hate chipping out beaver that are frozen to the top……..but sometimes it’s unavoidable. The tension after closing the stand was enough to hold the top trap in place. I didn’t slid the 2nd trap in, but you’ll get the picture. If you’re in a deep channel or at a good entrance that’s probably already blocked off pretty good, that’s when the double catches happen the most.
I’ll do a quick vid……
