Aaron is correct.
I used to know a Vietnam veteran that said he dumped millions of them out of airplanes.

Any idea of a timeframe when they would’ve been made or used I guess I’m not familiar with kinetic weapon

Also, do they have any collector value and if so, what would it be? Thanks again.

I believe Korea was the first conflict they were used in, and I don't think they were used after Vietnam. I don't think they were around for WW2, but I could be wrong.

Big Sam is correct.

I've seen them sell at gunshows for a couple bucks. Value may be more by now. If you peg down a price, I'd be interested in a few, PaulB.

“Lazy dogs “ have come along way . We now some that are either drone launched or they are the drone themselves, to take a personnel target without destroying the entire building.

Kinda spooky.

Edit-look up “Rods from God” and the rail gun concept. Kinetic energy weapons. Goliath was taken down by a kinetic energy weapon. Crazy.

thanks guys for the info. I’m not even sure where I got them big Sam. I’ll hang onto some for you for sure and if I’ve ever find any more trap parts, we can just throw them in with them. Thanks again guys.

As I understand it, they were indeed used in WW2 as anti personnel and motor vehicle weapons. I had one as a kid an uncle brought home.

Remember Bowe Bergdahl, the traitor.

Beware! Jill Pudlewski, Ron Oates and Keven Begesse are liars and thiefs!

This thread encouraged me to do a little research. It appears that a version was in fact designed in the early 40s, I can't find an immediate reference of it being used, but I'd bet they were. The final design, like PaulB has, is what was created in the early 50s and used in the later conflicts. So I got to learn something today.

In WW1 they kinda tried a similar thing. Essentially, it was kind of like dropping bowling pins on the enemy.
