Was sorting out my Fly boxes..on this dreary..rainy day...

And came across this tin...I was gifted by my fishing mentor before

He passed over 15 years ago .

Though I'd share ...I've never seen anything like it...

A Brook Trout...but as you can see ...the boarder..net...reel..

Are all done in Gold Leaf.

Really comes to life when the light hits it just right.

If you have a disagreement with another fly fisherman, do you end the argument with "good day, sir"!
Or maybe a slappy fight?

Here is a unique fly wallet I found in an old cabin I bought a while back. I wonder if it pre-dates WWII, back when that symbol on the buttons meant good luck?? I know the George Lawrence Company was established in Portland, OR in 1857. The cabin I bought and found it in was built in 1890. The flies were obviously not nearly as old, as some enclosed were still in the original packaging from Herter's (1960's).....
Either way, another kind of "unique" fly fishing related item.... wink
