Reckon there’s been a bill that calls for fur farms in Illinois to be illegal.
While it might sound all roses to some people who think that might be a good thing for the wild fur market,, it actually hurts it.
The ranch fur industry is huge,,, not nearly as big as it used to be,,, but nonetheless,, there’s still fur being produced..
Wild fur fills those holes that ranch fur can’t…
There’s no way today that wild fur could ever supply the whole industry… ain’t happening.
Most people don’t want to be muddy, cold, and do plain ol dirty work… especially the younger generation who would rather be playing video games.

Manufacturing industry would simply stop using fur and look for other materials because it would no doubt cause an end product to be wayyy too expensive for the average consumer.

Stand by your principles, Stand by your guns, and victory complete and permanent is sure at last.

The ‘average’ consumer isn’t buying. A very high percentage of wild and ranched fur is being bought, processed and sold overseas. The fur market has always been about those who can afford luxury. And they don’t care about price. $400 novelty coyote hats, $1,000 cowboy hats, $1,500 mink strollers, etc are luxuries. Not necessities.

Anybody who can afford a $100,000 bobcat cost isn’t into affordability.

They tried a Bill similar to that In WA but would have outlawed fur manufacture too. Brought it back through 4 different years. Managed to kill it every year. Then they moved on to beaver protection. So far been managing to kill those bills too. They just keep coming at you.

All that does is take away the choice about how to make a living with a sustainable product. This is a Culture war.

That's what billions of dollars gets you. Money better spent on school programs or elderly care, almost anything but more Lawyers writing proposals for more legislative control.
