1993. Bow hunting in Colorado.. the most desolate place I have ever been.. 75 miles to the nearest pay phone.. the area we were hunting showed zero sign of human activity.. no beer cans no cigarette butts no tire tracks.. no old campsites.. nothing.. was walking through a big stand if evergreens.. found a real nice 25’ true value tape measure.. brought it home and used it daily for probably 10 years

I found a stash several years ago, buried in a 10 gallon bucket. Only part of the lid was exposed. By the date on some of the items, which expired in the mid 80’s, it had been stashed for about 30 years. Among the items were Strike Anywhere matches and a full box of Russian AK47 ammo.

Found a cell phone that was still working. Got a phone number from a text on it and got it back to the owner. He had lost it 2 days before I found it.

I was elk hunting in Idaho one year and miles down a Forest Service Road. Found a bicycle that someone had chained to a tree, and then the tree fell on it. Of all the trees in the forest to park your bike, and then can’t retrieve it after a hard day’s hunt.

Covey of 25 quail. Should have immediately started a search for Sasquatch with that kind of luck and find.

I've got one that will beat anything found in a woods so far . . . IF I can still find where I put it, and IF Paul will allow it to be posted. It's the real deal! :-)

Set up a tree stand a few years back and about 40 yds down the ridge found another tree stand. It had been there so long that the strap had grown into the tree and had cause a wound on the tree that ran down the trunk about 8 ft.

Found a $10 bill while turkey hunting, just laying in the path.
Found a dead man, face blown off and a bullet hole just behind his right ear.
Law said it was a hair trigger, and he went under a limb that hit the trigger.
Ever carry a rifle on a sling over your shoulder, and the barrel end was behind your ear?
A lot of strange unexplained deaths in our county over the years .

A golf ball twice, different places, a long ways from any golf course. Walking up a gated road I picked up several rounds of 300 ultra mag ammo spaced 50 to 100 feet apart. Several coats and shirts over the years.

I didn't "forget" them there, I hid them. And I want them back. I am still making payment on the Billy Bob 2000.

I have nothing clever to put here.
