Does metal lids tend to hold the lures better than plastic?
I prefer lures with plastic caps because they don’t rust..
I have a number of old lures that I can’t easily open now because of rusted lids.
I’ve unfortunately busted a few because I tried opening them using channel locks and a bench vise.

I switched all mine to plastic a while back. For the rust reasons your having.
Before that I tried tape and lube but that only lasted so long.
Ive got bottles ive never used and partially filled ones all aging lol.
I bought them off ebay or Amazon. Can't remember. I do know that you had to know what "twist size?" they were. That took a little figuring out. And no i don't remember which size. It was worth the investment to me

Plastic is way better. After a year or so...can't open a metal lid lure bottle by hands only.
