Helicopter is up making passes right now. A lot of times it's a small plane... usually at least 3X a year. Is this a routine is other states, especially the lower elevation coastal ones?

When skeeters are bad here there isn't enough helicopters.

We get helicopters along the shore on the meadows and spot truck fogging in areas where theres lots of complaints....

Back in the 60's us kids used to ride our bikes in the fog, lol, God knows what was in that stuff, but most of us survived, lol

Hate seeing the helicopters, can't imagine that stuff they use is good for juvenile crabs and fish....

Growing up in a small village in Ohio they had a fog truck. It was some kind of box truck with a chimney of white smoke hammering out of the back of it constantly. As stated above we used to run through the smoke and play tag chasing the truck through the alleys and its not like our parents yelled at us or told us not to do it or anything. It was like weekly or monthly thing but always on a Thursday night or something regular. Nobody ever said a word.

That reminds me of a story someone told me about how their grandad used to come in from the spraying the fields and be rinsing the tank out and the kids (now parents) played and swam in the water.

Yes, it is pretty common, typically in highly populated and affluent areas. The cost is often shared between HOA's and cities as it is fairly expensive. They typically concentrate on wet and damp areas.

i grew up in a small town that was right next too a big swamp i swear people dont know mosquitos until you live in area like that, i even remember having a baseball game cut short because they where so bad that night funny thing is every town since i always notice bats flying around i dont recall seeing any there a few old friends always say that when a bat comes a around our town the mosquitoes eat them

These actually work surprisingly well for your house or lot. Change out every month through the hot months.
