Anybody know what species tree this seed pod comes from?

Found by a creek in north central Pennsylvania.

Looks like a magnolia pod to me

Thought they were more of a southern tree but that is what it looks like

Magnolia? Grandma used to have one of those in her back yard, I pretended they were hand grenades.

Cucumber tree magnolia it is. Thanks everyone, especially you Bowhunter. I looked it up and the seed pods are identical to the one I found. I did not know that it was a Pennsylvania native.
