Sad looking plants just put in with transplant shock. Should start looking good in a few days. They rain tomorrow should spring them up as long as its not a hard enough rain to beat them into the ground.

Single roll was tilled with the small walk behind since I need to rebuild the carb on the tractor again and could not us the 6' tiller on the tractor. Maybe that will be tomorrow's project.

Jugs are cut in half, good soil and seeds added, Jugs get taped back together lid stays off and they get left outside.

Thought someone may want to try this.

The jug is cut on 3 sides when soil and seeds are put in then duck taped back together. You can see the tape on the jugs in the Pic before opened.

cold crops in February in the jugs. Also a lot of flowers and herbs get started in February as well. We are zone 7a and they get set out on the ground. The seed will come up on there own when temps get right for them.

Wife just told me she has been doing this for 12 years now.

Have she ever started tomatoes with this set up ?

Typically tomatoes get started in seed trays. She had heat mats and lights for them.
