For starters, how do you sling them around wthout a tail to grab on to?

Front leg.

Probably 70% of the carcasses in my area end up getting utilized in some sort of market. Those markets don't want the tails on them.

Decent money in the tails. Only issue is moving more than 200 a year.

Lots of work in those pics.

How do you dry…..nail on board? Staple on board? Or hoop them?

Those beaver don't seem to put on the fat mine do. Is that normal for West Oregon? I love it when I catch a lean one. They process easier for me.

P.S. Those Minnesotans been stealing some of my meat market with pre packaged beaver dog food. mad

Wow good job, no use for the tails? Someone would give you something for them I would think.

It's a regional thing, I'd never seen someone cut the tail off a beaver prior to skinning, until a guy moved up from California and did it that way. So I tried it for a while, went back and forth on whacking tails off before skinning. Either way has advantages, finally went back to not removing.

Oh, I remove tails but after they're skinned. Ask Randy Shuff about that, LOL.

After the tails are removed I use a hay hook to move them around. This year I turned about 80 beaver carcasses (w/o tails) into 22 bobcats and 7 spotted skunks.

But from the skinning trough to the pile outside my pole barn I sure make use of that tail!

I prefer a beaver with some fat to a lean one for skinning. Those lean ones invariably have all kinds of old healed battle scars to shave down. Of course, most of the fat is on the belly so in that pic you're not seeing it.
