Likely just wet sanding with 1000 or 1500 and then clearcoating with 2k clearcoat. Its not top secret....

Did you follow up with the proper clearcoat..? Shouldnt see any swirl marks....

I know a guy that uses sand paper wet with about 3 different grit the last one 2000. Then toothpaste and work the headlight lens really good. Wash off and a light film of wax and puff it out. They look like brand new and works great. A lot of methods when you can search it also.
