"5 The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy[a] are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor."

Neuralink is helping the blind receive sight, the lame walk, the deaf hear and the voiceless speak. It is giving hope to people with traumatic injuries and degenerative disorders. God bless it's inventors, who are helping people as Christ did.

Hopefully it stays polite. I think it's wonderful that human beings have designed technology that is finally getting to the point that it can cure ailments that could only be cured in a miraculous way in the past.

I truly believe that we are made in God's image and that part of his plan is for us to become more like him. I see Neuralink as a big step in that direction.

Anytime people approach greater perfection, whether in learning, science or even great athletic accomplishment, I see it as honoring God, who made us.

As long as we remember, Neuralink may cure physical ailments but it can't cure the soul. Only Jesus can do that.

Just because something is “invented” or “developed” doesn’t take away from God’s greatness. The elements used in the manufacturing process, the laws of physics, and neurological pathways that make Neuralink possible are still…from God.

That’s something mankind has always done. Take something God created ,take it and do something with it for our benefit. Be it a created element, laws of nature, or natural processes. He isn’t diminished, He is glorified.

Yote, I thought he was saying it went against the bible or something and you seemed be getting popcorn ready. I thought I was missing something.

No, he wasn't saying that. I was expecting some of the very devout Christians on here to take it that way though. Guess I was wrong.

yotetrapper, where would you fall in your own self evaluation, devout, atheist, agnostic or lukewarm. and before you answer. you may wish to consult with the scriptures. I am devout.

I am not sure how to answer that Dave, as I am not entirely sure myself. I suppose agnostic would probably come closest.

I wish I were closer to you to lead you down the path to salvation. If I am wrong, then nothing is lost, if unbelievers are wrong, then salvation is lost and 10 million years from now they wont be 10 millionth of a second closer to ever escaping the pits of hades and total separation from the Lord God almighty. eternal is eternal.

This kinda reminds me of when Jesus healed a man on the Sabbath….

Mark 3:1-6
New International Version
Jesus Heals on the Sabbath

3 Another time Jesus went into the synagogue, and a man with a shriveled hand was there. 2 Some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath. 3 Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, “Stand up in front of everyone.”

4 Then Jesus asked them, “Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they remained silent.

5 He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored. 6 Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus.

We are all set out in this world to do good. If modern technology can heal people, how could that be construed as anything but good?

While I appreciate the offer and suspect your heart is in the right place, judging from some of your posts I'm not entirely sure you're exactly on the right path either.......

as a self identified agnostic how in the world can you even make that claim? a bit of self awareness goes a long way..

Well, Grumley, I was a Christian for a long time. Some self-identified Christians are part of the reason I no longer consider myself one.

Without having direct contact with you I would submiss you haven't a clue what the qualifiers are to be a "Christian.. you know that whole "born again thing,, receiving the Holy Spirit and all"

for the most part I try and keep out of these kind of conversations, it's hard to convey empathy through a text thread but for you as a self described agnostic to throw shade at sheepdog is something for sure. but one thing I'm sure of you'll have some kind of bs rebuttal.. it's your mo..

Understanding Christianity is something you don't start and stop on "feelings"

I'm sorry... your post doesn't make a lot of sense so I'm not real sure what you're trying to say.

I do get the sense you don't like me much though.
