No big surprise that lawyers want more doors to walk through with lawsuits.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Yes, no surprise there. Personally, I think the protections should be expanded to include prohibition of civil suits and should extend to EVERY industry that involves legal products.

They want to hold gun manufacturers responsible for gun deaths but don't hold car manufacturers responsible for deaths by car instead of the drunk or reckless driver.

The job of a Patriot is not to protect his country but to protect the people from the tryannical government

Lawyers and judges are purposely destroying this country.

"The right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed". Its pretty hard to argue this statement directly out of the constitution. The founders had enough sense to leave all of the legal mumbo jumbo talk and fine print out of the statement.

Prisons are at 150% capacity. They are country clubs, not punishment facilities. States are telling judges the prisons are full...dont send anymore criminals to prison.

Convert the tv and gym areas into more cell space for those country clubs. Build new prisons where prisoners do not leave there cells and can be automated to keep guards safe. Water and feed them like in a hog facility. I worked with guys that served time and they told me many inmates biggest fear is being released??? Said!

True. I met a guy that stole a car at age 18 and spent 5 yrs. He could not take care of himself. His brother was his caretaker.

In that profession, some are truly the worst human beings on the planet....Watching them attempt to make their case on judgement day should be a hoot.

The ABA is just an irrelevant trade group with no power. The vast majority of lawyers are not members. I've never been a member in almost 30 years of practicing.

Worst are the incompetent ones that practice serving Americans as politicians.

They are only over capacity because of prison closures. (at least in NY) There is one about a half hour from me that had two separate facilities across the road from each other. Mens prison on one side of the road Womans on the other. In 2010 they closed the Womans side. I believe it only operated for about 10 years. and if you try to look it up the official story is that it converted to a mens prison. That's not true it sits empty and unmaintained. They were claiming that there were overcrowding issues when they closed it.

Also is it bad that when I read the title of this thread the first thing that popped into my head was Garth Brooks American Honkey Tonk Bar Association? lol

I'm pretty sure if you went to a max security prison you wouldn't mistake it for a country club.

Bring back the chain gangs, sans chains. But seriously, have "Inmates doing public work, pickup litter, erect highway signs, wash windows in public building or just figure out how to make them productive. Build work camps like they did for German POW's during WWII. That's NOT being cruel or inhumane. They get to be outdoors and that would empty out prisons (some). Lots of former POW's even chose to stay here in the states after the war, so these type of camps couldn't have been bad.

They do that here. Constantly seeing the county inmates picking up trash along the side of the road.

Gotta find a way, a better way, I'd better wait

I have a question? Are most lawyers and judges Freemason?
Well maybe another question? Is there a secret club in Georgia called Gridiron Club?
