I have some victor number 2 long springs that I am going to use on red fox this year they are closed jaw and hear in Nevada we have a 96hr check and I am wondering if I should laminate them?

If you wait for 96 hour check I don't think lamination is going to help. The weight of that trap is going to be a problem for those fox. In my opinion.

If you are trapping for the fur I would do a 24 hr. check with footholds. 96 hrs is a long time for that animal to be fighting the trap and destroying his fur.

as a trapper you have the responsibility to dispatch the animal as soon as possible and most of those long check times where designed for bodygrippers not live holding

I don’t think a fox would survive 96 hours in a foothold too well. Too many things able to kill it in that time.
