I had 51 or 52 in my big basket, twelve in a five gallon bucket and the landowner came by asking if in needed some ice and to borrow a large cooler. Yes and yes, I caught 17 more, filleted him 25, then cleaned the rest of them and probably giving it a rest for the next day, maybe. have a Dr appointment in the morning but wednesday is game on again. The rest I took to one of our places that feeds the homeless, its a Baptist Church with a homeless ministry. I cant use this many but I know many who can use them. very grateful to be able to do so.

Mo ain't Texas, we have limits on most fish, especially Crappie, which is 30 daily statewide with a possession limit of twice that. Going over the limit is called "Poaching"! mad

I’m pretty sure he is catching them in TX out of a private one . Mo (meaning MORE, not Missouri).

Limit is only 15 on LOZ and Truman.

Only if YOU bought the stocked fish and can prove it. Otherwise, if the state supplied the stock, they are still under the state regs, you can only say who can or cannot fish there.

Stocked hundreds of ponds throughout NW, north central, central, western Missouri under the Private Impoundment Program with MDC. Those fish were the landowners as they applied for them and MDC stocked them for them. Of course MDC discontinued this good thing.......Generally met with a conservation agent at county location and delivered on site to many ponds over a few acres in size. One of the best times of my career in which I truly enjoyed assisting landowners in the state. We stocked lmb, blg, ccf - large mouth bass, bluegill, channel catfish. We raised no crappie and stocked none. Reared most of the paddlefish and stocked them throughout the state. Back in the good days Clay.......

States are different. Here i dont think kdwp will stock unless you enroll and make the waterway open to public. Even if you own the pond and have it stocked they are still your fish in a private pond. Burden of proof is always on the LEO not the owner of said pond.

You should do a little more thinking before you accuse someone of poaching

Key words

landowner - easily interpreted as this was private land

doctor appointment, OP's location (Livingston Texas) and "our places that feed the homeless" would indicate he is in his local area

I believe you owe a little more apology, "K, that makes a difference. LOL," is pretty weak after calling someone a poacher

lol. I told the game warden I set the limits. I built the pond and stocked it. No help from the state.
