Guys, I picked up a live trap yesterday that’s an advantex brand live trap that’s around 50 plus inches long,, assuming it’s intended for coyotes or dogs. Guy had it advertised on Facebook marketplace as a big live trap,,, I was thinking the standard 32 inch cage trap. I was indeed surprised when I went to pick it up. I tried looking for this particular model online but couldn’t find any pricing on it. I’m more than likely going to trade it because that big of a trap is one I’ll really never use.. just trying to find an approximate value on it for a fair trade. Any help??

Id say any man gets another man to pay any amount for a coyote cage trap got the best end of the deal. LOL So true. Only seen a trap that size to catch a horny dog chasing someone's female dog.

Might could use it for cats? Maybe bobcats, just kind of hard to make it look natural.

Id say any man gets another man to pay any amount for a coyote cage trap got the best end of the deal. I’m not really out of a whole lot of money,,, So I’m not taking too big of a hit. I guess a guy could probably catch a single family of coon around a barn or corn crib at once,, lol

LOL You're talking to some hard cases on Trapperman, you just have to remember the territory you're in. There isn't any of us that hasn't whished they thought things out better at one time or another.

I seen something like that at Tractor Supply. They have a cage inside for live bait. Kinda a worthless cage trap in my opinion. I think the cost about $169.00
wws I did see something similar..just a different name. I know different names brings different prices.. I’ve seen some range 150-300 bucks while searching.. just couldn’t find any value on the advantex model.

I have a few bigger traps and absolutely love them for lots of different critters. Awesome for cats and coon, and fox. No squatting down or squeezing in to enter, just a big ole wide open and inviting space for critters to come in to check out goodies. Even have had doubles on large coon in those bigger traps. Large traps are of course a bit more to manage when transporting or storing but I’ve really come to appreciate them more than my standard “coon-size” traps. A big coon kind of looks small in one but a catch is a catch. I’ve ran both sizes along side each other and can attest the bigger traps out perform the smaller ones hands down. I plan to buy more bigger ones than smaller ones over time. Just my two cents. Jim ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2026/04/full-34529-290199-img_0439.jpeg)

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.
