I will do my best to explain this in a way that those needing or wanting to read this can understand.

See, there was an old leather glove, well worn, tattered with holes in it, fully displaying a lifetime of service to the hand that dwelt within it. molded to that hand, and without the hand, it would have been just an object waiting to be used. Stay with me please, see, that glove is you and I. Yep, our bodies are but a mere shell. The glove was created in the exact image of a hand for the hand. So too, you and I were created in the exact likeness and image of our Lord Jesus. Without the hand, there would be no need or use for the glove. Without Jesus, there would be no use for us to have been created in his own image, Genesis 1:27
New International Version
27 So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.

John 1
New King James Version
The Eternal Word
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not [a]comprehend it.

John’s Witness: The True Light
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That[b] was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His [c]own, and His [d]own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the [e]right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

The Word Becomes Flesh
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me [f]is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ ”

Now that the scriptural basis has been laid before you, let us continue. So, we are a Spirit, we live in a body(the glove) and we have a soul. the Body wears out eventually just as does the glove. However, the hand continues on doing its job, buts needs a replacement. Another shell to inhabit. See, the hand is God. He made us to do his work here on earth to lead souls into his Kingdom. When we allow him to fill us, the glove, then we have the means to do the jobs that he created each and everyone of us to do while here on this earth. Even though the old gloves return to dust, just as our bodies will some day, our spirit and soul are eternal. Where a person is a believer or not, you were created as an eternal being. Your eternity is hinged solely on whether, through free will, you choose to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, master of your flesh, or you choose to serve the world. If you choose the latter, you are at enmity with God," Romans 8:5-16:27
New King James Version
5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be [a]carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the [b]carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God."

See just like the glove, you and were created to be inhabited by our Lord God, and, without him we are incapable of doing His work. The same for the glove. without a hand to enter the glove, no work with the glove can be accomplished.

As we reflect on our Risen Savior this day, let us reflect on the work that our Lord Jesus Christ did for each and everyone of us. What he endured as 100 percent God and 100 percent man. The sacrifice that He made to save us from eternal death. I really like what Jesus said on the cross just before He gave up His spirit, Tetelestai, "PAID IN FULL", It is finished, in most translations except the Latin, Greek and Hebrew.

Take a few minutes to reflect on what PAID IN FULL means for you and I, sinners, unable to reconcile our sinful life without the Blood of Jesus Christ, he paid the debt for us, that we could never pay. Such a loving act so we could spend eternity with him and in his sight through infinity. The flip side, if those who reject the blood of Christ truly understand, that they too are eternal beings. You wont ever die in the lake of fire, in 10,000 years you wont ever be 1 millionth of a second closer to escaping that misery.

It is my prayer that none should suffer that eternal death. I pray that all on here and all over the world will choose, very soon to come to the foot of the cross and discover a relationship with Jesus Christ by repenting and accepting that he is Your Lord and Savior, he is the True Son of God, he was born flesh and blood, he was tempted just as we are and lived a sinless life. he was handed over to be tortured, was crucified, buried by Joseph of Aramathaih and Nicodemus. He rose on the third day, Walked among many in living flesh and blood and ascended to the right hand of God the Father, where is seated at the right hand of the Throne interceding in prayer for us to the Father.

God Bless each and every one of you and your families.
