Guess I'll join in too. Didn't find it today but many years back. It's one of my all time favorites. 7/8ths of an inch long and obsidian. Kalapuya tribe western Oregon.

The bad thing about arrowhead hunting is once you find the first one, even by accident , you can't go anywhere without looking at the ground.

Cattrapper you’re in the south central region and here is a list of points from that area. One corner is broken off but it looks to me like they knapped it again and fixed it. Waste not. Nice point!

Looks like a Hemphill but others are a close look alike too. Looks like the edges are finely serrated also and that can help identify them.

Like Beaverpeeler, this isn't a recent find. I look but don't have much luck.

Found this in one of my food plots a couple weeks ago when we burned my warm season grass.

Looks like the base of a dovetail!!! One of the older points out there,,, archaic period… approximately 8000 years old.
Dovetails are one of the most sought after pieces in the artifact community. Some whole pieces command some serious money.

That looks like a Scottsbluff point! Another older desirable point. Nice find.

Peeler there are some interesting points out in your part of the country.

Thanks Cattrapper. I sent a picture of it to Bill German and he verified it as a Scottsbluff. He said that most of them that come from my area are usually broken. Probably due to all the logging.
